Happy Pink Saturday

Can you believe the week has gone by.  Crazy weather and all.  Fortunately our lovely hostess doesn't allow anything to keep us from our Saturday fun.  I wonder if she ever worked for the post office!  At any who please visit with Beverly.  She has close to 200 bloggers ready to share their pink with you.

I wanted to share a little vignette in my guest room.  I chose this mainly to help me decide if a new camera adds anything to my pics.  These are all taken on my old Kodak.  I'm going to purchase a new camera soon.  I'll take these same pics again and see how I do.  I understand newer models are suppose to be better and easier to work with. 

I'm feeling a little more comfortable moving around the blog, but am a nervous nelly about changing anything at this point.  If you have any thoughts (good or bad) about a particular brand, please let me know.  I am interested in a point & shoot.

Well back to my guest room.

These pics are just pretty flowers my husband surprised me with.  I couldn't believe how they opened.  They look artificial, but they are real.

Yea! It's Pink Saturday

I can't believe how fast this week has gone.  I hope everyone had a great St Pats.  I have had many people comment on my dolls.  Err I mean Miss Dede's dolls.  Aah yep that's it, Miss Dede's dolls.  If you have read my blog before, I hope you remember Miss Dede's addiction.  The poor thing, she just can't get enough. of them.  I keep telling my husband we really must be patient with her. 

Luckily for me he's a very supportive guy.  But I am working with her.  She just has to let go of some of these treasures.  Of course she says she will, but several have been added to the family, non has left. 
I know you sweeties do understand!

Happy St Pats to all

Just a short post to share my St Pats table with you.  I can't wait to check in with everyone and see what tablescapes and decorations they are sharing.  The creativity of bloggerettes is exceptional.  I always come away with new ideas.  I hope you enjoy my ideas.

Because I love pink so much, I wanted it to accent the green on my kitchen table.

I do hope the Irish mojo is with me as I prepare dinner!  It sure has been working for me the last few days.  When I went to the grocery mart, I couldn't believe my eyes.  There it was right there to greet me.  I could hardly contain my joy.  I knew after dinner I wanted to serve tea (green of course) and Irish Cream.   Just look at what I found.

OK so the heavens didn't part nor did the choir of angles sing.  But I still have to think it's pretty mojo terrific.

May I pour you a cup? Or perhaps a glass?

Well I hope my little folk will approve of  the things I have done.

I hope they smile their blessings on you and yours as well.

 I love seeing everyoneelses pictures and reading their posts as well.  Unfortunately there are great picture takers out there.  Now I say unfortunately,  because I find mine to be sorely inadequate.  I need a lot of practice and probably a newer camera.  Mine is very limited and is one of the older units.  This rude awakening has shown me I need to get off my duff and get some of my pretties listed to sell.  I have been saying for some time I want to pare back---just a touch.  Somehow, and I think many of you will know what I mean, (I hope),  I just know the minute I give it up, I will need, want or have a burning desire for that particular piece.

So St Patty, I hope you and my bloggerette friends will send me the luck of the Irish.  And I do hope you enjoy my posts.

I hope the combo of pink and green is showing up on your screen.  I love finding items that bring it all together.  This little lass has a pink top, and ribbon and flowers on her hat.

A few changes on the mantle give us the pink and green St Pats feeling.

My flea market find picture, is a beauty in green with pink flowers.  I have yet to find a mantle scarf to hide those dreadful wires.

As I said I enjoy finding items that bring my idea together.  I was having trouble with my coffee table until the mail came in.

I hope you get the St Pat mojo working for you too.  I'll be working it in the kitchen tomorrow.  As I'm cooking St Pats I'm going to decorate to keep that mojo working for me too.  By the by:  Is mojo Irish?   I think not, but I for one am taking no chances.

It is so much fun to check in with her and many of the other Pinkies.  Her list has grown to many great Bloggerettes.  I have been both inspired and have made new friends.

Speaking of friends, I would like to introduce you to my dear friend Miss Dede.  I recieved many comments on my other friend Miss Minnie last week.  People really liked her.  Well Miss Dede wondered where her fans were.

I had no idea Miss Dede would take it this way.  Well anyway she has been a dear friend nearly 20 years.  I must say I do not believe she has ever divulged even ONE secret.  My only problem is she really is the doll collector.  She merely allows me to play with them.  Well I do keep trying to convince Da Hubs of this.  So far no luck!  But I enjoy her anyway.  We've had great fun at times like the holidays.  If you have ever seen a Patty Playpal doll by Ideal, you know how real they look.  I had Miss Dede and baby Dede decorating the Christmas tree one year.  People were amazed.  I haven't done that for awhile.  Perhaps I'll remember to try it this year.  No guarantees but a fun thought.  I never know what I will remember and what I won't.  I'm still amazed I'm actually doin this. 

Miss Dede is calling to me.  She seems to think it is time to stop yapping and get crafting.  After all she reminds me you will have many blogs to check in on..
