Run run run past this lousy flu

Hello Dear Pinkies,

If anyone even comes within a block of you with the flu, run as fast as you can!!!  I won't take up your time with the details, but take my word for it, you will be miserable.

My husband is still working on my kitchen so I can only languish over my last years Christmas pics.  I am going to have to take the time to see which pics I used last year.  Perhaps I can find some other pics that I haven't used yet.  I think that will cheer me up, well at least some.  We always do so much for Christmas that it actually is depressing not doing very much!  Two years ago my dishwasher flooded and ruined my kitchen floor.  As my family room and kitchen have the same floor, we had to tear everything up  Since it was just before Christmas decorating time, not much was done that year.  Last year was my back surgery, not much got done that year either.  Now the kitchen re-do has been set back several times as well.  I'M GETTING A COMPLEX NOW!!  Oh well this too shall pass.

I am really looking forward to what all of you are sharing at Miss Beverly's.  A glass of wine and your lovely pics always cheer me up.  I hope you'll join

The last roses of summer

I absolutely can not believe it is November.  Not only November but into it's 2nd week already.  I keep asking myself where I have been.  This summer was way to hot for my liking, but NOVEMBER!  Fortunately that does mean Thanksgiving and Christmas aren't far away.  Yeah!!

I have enjoyed my last roses of summer. I do love that I can bring them in without so much worry about bugs coming along.  I hate uninvited visitors.  OK truth be told I verge on fanatical about them .  But one way or another there is no home big enough for me and a bug.  So I'm sure you can visualize my conniption fit when they show up.  Oh c'mon I know some of you do that very unattractive  bug dance as well.

Oh well,  I think I'll jump over to Miss Beverly's, and check out the other pink bloggers.  You can find the party here:

I did find a new blog that was much to my liking. I left feeling happy I had been there for a visit.

Pink The obvious choice

As I visited the Pink Bloggerettes last week, I was touched by the number of women who shared stories or feelings about Breast Cancer Month.  Several questioned the choice of such a lovely color being the choice to represent such an awful disease.

I believe that as we pray for a cure- admire the strength of the women who survive. and marvel at the courage of the women we have lost, a soft pink light shines and shows through us all.  Leading me to believe, pink was the obvious choice.

October is over, our prayers for the cure are not.

I wanted to share with you a new friend I found last week at Miss Beverly's Pink Saturday.  Even the name of her blog gives you insight to her.  Doni is very talented and ingenuitive.   I mean this lady found a way to dye vintage lace PINK with avocado peelings.  SAY WHAT?  I kid you not.  Her pics are lovely as well.  Please give her a visit, I know you will probably go back through her old posts as I did.  I can only say enjoy.

You will find many other lovely blogs at Miss Beverly's.   Consider joining us.  You'll meet many great Pinkies

This week we had a Halloween dinner.  As we do not get many Tricks or Treaters, an adult dinner was called for.  I'm showing my fall dining room ready for our guests.

I hope you'll have time to visit with us.

I hope your Halloween was a fun one.

And as always
I hope you enjoy my fall pretties

I hope you'll be back soon
