Last weekend was a great get a way.  My husband & I belong to an RV club that takes several close to home trips through the summer.  The group is made up of really fun people.  We call ourselves an RV club, but really we are an eating and drinking club!  The men like to play golf, while the women like to shop. 

Now everyone that knows me knows:  if it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have ANY.  This week I am happy to say was my week.  It is all the more special when unexpectedly lady luck drops by. 

When we went into the antique shop, I had my usual hopes that I would find a special treasure to take home.  After all antiquing is a competitive sport.  As we started down the aisle my heart lept.  There was a beautiful pink plate I hoped would be my treasure today.  I approached carefully, heart racing I poised myself  into the perfect position in front of my competitors.  Wha la I went in for the kill.  I'm happy to report it was mine!  To find a treasure so early in the hunt sharpened my instincts.  The hunt was on!!

Oh boy oh boy.  In no time my arms were filled.  First with a Lefton jelly & plate, then Bavarian candle sticks, then angels & S&P shakers & figurines and on and on and on. 

As I amassed my goodies on the counter, many guns took aim.  But I was already the victor.  I did convert one into a pinkie.  She said she didn't think she cared for pink but after seeing them all together, they made her smile.  I put down my shield long enough to help her find a few pink pretties for herself.

Dear Pink Bloggeretts  

My husband and I  are fortunate to have dear friends of many persuasions.  We have experienced  different traditions through the years with them.  I have learned so much, and I am grateful to have each of them in our lives.

Now I am pleased to share all of your traditions.  Holidays can be so fun.  I think we  pinkies  have found many ways to celebrate each and every one!   I'm not quite sure who started it, but clearly pink belongs in every holiday.  So sayeth the Lord.  OK maybe not the Lord.  But our lovely hostess Beverly  has encouraged us to see the world through our Rosy colored glasses.  You can see through those glasses too.  Just check out her blog.

As this is the Easter season, I have decided to show more of my home that is decorated.  These items are in my family room & sun room.  I have so much fun and pleasure from looking at the pretty pastels.  Holiday decorating is a great reason to change things up.

I so wish I had little ones that lived close to share with.  But I'm so happy I have found all of you.  I just wish You could share my baked goods.  Oh well that's another story.  In the mean time I hope your holiday finds you with loved ones to share your treasures.

Hope your week has had sunshine in it.  I and the sun have not been in my home at the same time.  I need the sun.  I know many of you do also.  We have sky lights and big windows that let the sun shine in.  So where is it????

Oh well.  Now that I've ranted on my soap box, as I often do,  I'm really happy it's Easter decorating time.  I love the pastels decorating my home.  I find them very uplifting as well as soothing all at once.  For all of you who are Christians, this IS the season that is both uplifting and soothing.  It does remind us that the sun will indeed shine soon.

OK so here is my week:  I bought a new camera over the weekend.  Conferred with Miss Dede, and decided to acknowledge spring in spite of the fact that it is not here yet.  Took pics of some pretties, even tho Miss Dede was unhappy about my choices of lack of dolls.  I assured her we would put plenty into Easter displays.  Spent the whole day playing with the new camera.  I wanted to see the different effects I would come up with.  Check out

Mr. Rabbit has given us much to learn.  Well I was prepared.  After about 4 hours I gave up.  Went back to the old camera.  I think I have a problem with my card reader.  Will let the Hubs figgieate on it---I'm pooped and P?ssed.  Along with this I have had a fire alarm dinging all day.  I can't turn it off.  I can't unplug.  I've tried new batteries to no avail.  If Hubs doesn't show up soon I may leave and forget my way back.  But until then I hope yo9u enjoy my attempt at enjoying spring.
